Stray animals are an open wound that affects not only abandoned animals, but society as a whole.
Faced with this fact, commitment and volunteering prove to be fundamental, not only to offer shelter or a second chance to those who have been betrayed, but also to raise collective awareness based on respect and prevention.
The volunteer associations committed to this goal work every day on the edge of urgency and are committed to rescuing, caring for, protecting and finding families willing to take in those who no longer have a place in the world.
However, for such organisations to function, certain basic needs must be met.
- Economic resources: essential to cover veterinary and feeding costs, and to ensure that sterilisations and preventive measures can be carried out.
- Motivated volunteers: hands, hearts and time needed both in the shelters and in activities such as awareness-raising and organisational support.
- Suitable facilities: safe places where animals can rest while waiting for a new home.
- Co-operation networks: dialogue with institutions, private individuals and other associations is essential for a coordinated and effective approach.
- Education and awareness-raising: building a culture of respect ranges from promoting sterilisation and the value of adoption to rejecting abandonment.
WE NEED YOU! A donation, a few hours of your time, or the simple sponsorship of one of these forgotten creatures will be a great help to us in realising our project.
